Ken’s girlfriend snapped the photo. Jenni has carried it around for a long time so there are some scratches on it. We were walking around Charleston’s charming old downtown area enjoying being with each other. Ken was in the Navy and we only got to see each other for limited times between cruises. I wish I had taken as many pictures after Ken died as I did before. I feel like Doug’s teen years flashed by too quickly. A lesson is to be learned by other parents; I thought I learned it after Ken died, and now realize I didn’t.
